The importance of project deadlines

The importance of project deadlines

Deadlines are fundamental to any business, and especially if you want to be a successful one of that. Deadlines are set to allow an end goal to be set for the designer and client, otherwise expect some disorganised mess and a very unhappy customer, who more than likely would jump ship, and can you blame them. Here at TCQC, I don’t have just one project-end deadline, I have multiple deadlines from start to finish, for myself and of course my client, all agreed upon and reassured prior the project commencing. That’s right, because it’s done proper here! Allow me to detail:

Has the client got a specific date in mind? [Usually, yes]

Luckily, every client I have the luxury of dealing with knows that a website can’t be designed and implemented in a day or two, it takes up to 4 weeks for myself to produce a top tier, functioning and live website and this is detailed in every discussion and contract I outline with my client. Although, imagine that for a publicity stunt: ‘can a website be designed and implemented in one day [YouTube stream]’ .. hmm.

Now as a client, you want a website for a variety of purposes and reasons for your organisation and / or business; and with this you’ll want it ready for a certain date or time, which is fair. I’m always realistic and in agreement with any date set, because it’s great practice to have a date to aim for and fulfil. I’m an immensely organised individual with impeccable time management and finesse (you were waiting for there weren’t you) so deadlines are always taken seriously. I mean, the client has paid real money for a service, you’d expect the best work to be delivered, right?

My deliverable deadlines

As you’ll see above, straight out of my client contract, are my deliverables I stick to with every website project. It gives reassurance and a clear overview of the stages of work being carried out by yours truly on your website. Obviously I stay in constant contact throughout the project with draft designs for approval from my client, however detailing a deliverable breakdown like this gives a clear indication that the work being carried out is structured, well thought out and built with finesse (couldn’t resist again).

In summary

Once that final draft has been approved and the testing stage has been completed alongside the SEO implementation, the site is live and there’s one happy customer. Deadlines are so important to me personally as with multiple projects on the go it’s less stressful to have deadlines in place than to not have them, because there’s then always something to work towards and crucially timeframes are not missed which could potentially upset or frustrate your client if vice versa!

If you’re a current client of mine, I thank you immensely (again), otherwise if you’re someone looking for a web designer to build a website? TCQC is your man, 200%. Let’s build with finesse (cheesy).
